Tips for make espresso
, Choose a high-quality coffee blend suitable for stovetop brewing. Fill the bottom chamber with fresh water up to the safety valve—never above it. Using filtered or low-limescale water helps preserve flavour and extend the life of the pot.
, Fill the filter basket generously with ground coffee, but do not tamp or press it down. Screw the upper chamber on tightly to form a secure seal, then place the moka pot on the hob.
, Keep the flame or heat source on low to medium. The flame should stay under the base and not rise around the sides of the pot. This allows the coffee to brew at the right speed. Once you hear the characteristic bubbling sound, the coffee is ready—switch off the heat immediately.
,Do not leave the moka pot on the heat after the coffee has finished brewing, as it can burn and turn bitter. Give the coffee in the top chamber a quick stir before serving to blend the stronger early extraction with the lighter final drops.
